Crochet Triangle Shawl Asymmetrical Part 1 of 2

Crochet Triangle Shawl Asymmetrical Part 1 of 2 This any season shawl is an easy asymmetrical crochet shawlette made from just one skein of yarn. If you are looking for a shawl in a ball pattern, here is one to add to your crochet pattern library. Today I used one skein of Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball Restful Rainbow.
This pattern starts off with an initial 12 rows of crochet. After that, rows 9-12 are repeated until the desired length and width is reached or the skein of yarn is gone.

This is an asymmetrical shawl; therefore, the increase is only done on one side of the shawl. Here is a closer photo showing how the increase in stitches happens on just one side.
Find the written instructions for this Asymmetrical Triangle Shawl here.

Note: this is a 2 part crochet tutorial. Part 1 will complete the crochet pattern through row 7. Part 2 will start at row 8.
