Sleep Comfortable in Winter Time

Sleep Comfortable in Winter Time In this video I explain how I sleep comfortable in winter time. In winter and specially the wintertime is not really nesesary with a tent depending on the place or weather. A tarp can provide with enough weather protection as long as it big enough. There 6 points I normally choose for normal winter overnights like this:

1. Placement of overnight camp and fireplace. (In a dence old forest its problaby the best place)
2. Wood gathering. (easy to gather around, so you dont waste to much calories, important in winter)
3. How you prepare for your fire. (See the Fire Basics video i posted couple of weeks ago and here I setup fireplace as V towards you, or you can use the Long Fire wich give you more warmth but perhaps last shorter than the V.)
4. Maintanence of the fire and use.
5. Food. (enough calories and fat, tough I dont really have here, Make sure you are warm before you go to bed, and go to the bathroom before you go to bed. )
6. Clothing & Gear. (I explain the layers in the middle and trough out the video, but many say wool is the most important cloth, and is true, but its even better if you can ventilate using fishing or air transporter as a base layer, before the wool. Same goes with socks and your feet, in a warm spot your feet need to breath, if not even the warmest socks can make you cold. Also is it better to not shave if you are a man. There is also cold cream for your skin you should have. Bring a heat bottle nad place in the sleeping bag, or inside your shoes. Animal game skin with impregnated leather is good to have. Used as a seating surface, floor in the tent, or on top of the sleeping mat. The sleeping pad is always the more important than the sleeping bag or quilt. But if your move to much quilts may expose skin to cold weather and you will problaby wake up. Equipment such as. camera, mobile and batterys should be insulated trough the night.)
