New South Wales is now waiting nervously to see what tomorrow brings. Severe to extreme fire conditions are forecast and a state of emergency is now in place.
The Rural Fire Service is warning that high temperatures, strong winds and low humidity could make conditions worse than what we saw on New Year's Eve.
