Hey guys! Today I’m sharing how to lengthen any straps you have! This way is simple and super cute!!!
7:10 is the part where instructions are easier to follow!
SUPPLIES:
Clothing you want to adjust.
Scissors
E6000 Glue/ fabric glue
Pliers
Decorative trim
Trim I used:
SKU: 1251669
Dress I wore:
STEPS (if your garment had adjustable straps):
Cut straps in the back of the garment (making sure if there is a metal loop to leave that in tact.)
Measure your chain to adjusted length. I ended up using 15 chain links for each strap.
With your pliers, open a chain link and attach it to the garment using the metal loop on your garment.
Secure chain by closing the link with your pliers.
On the side with remaining strap, insert strap through chain link.
Fold strap over itself.
Glue down the strap to itself.
Add glue to strap and chain link for extra security.
Let dry 24 hours.
Done! Time to rock your new piece!!!
STEPS (if your garment doesn’t have adjustable straps):
Cut strap off on side of choice, LEAVE 1/4”- 1/2” OF STRAP.
Insert strap into chain.
Fold strap over itself.
Glue down folded strap.
Add glue to strap and chain for extra security.
Let dry for 24 hours.
Done! Time to rock your new piece!!!
Comment if you have any questions!!!
