Makongeni residents protest attempt to grab social hall

A group of Makongeni residents has protested what they say is the attempted grabbing of the Makongeni Social Hall by a church in the area. The residents say attempts to stop the construction of a church at the Social Hall have largely been unsuccessful as local political leaders seem to be deaf to their pleas and administrators unwilling to take action.
And as our crew found out, Social halls in Nairobi continue to disappear largely due to private interests that do not seem to care about community interests.
