27 November 2019 - The club hosts monthly "Inspired by..." members' only events, where invited speakers present on niche or unique issues and experiences. The club provides outstanding complimentary drinks and food. Jacqui and Olesja Grant have been approached to co-host the November event "Diamonds, Ears and Hearing Aids". Jacqui will discuss the latest trends in jewellery for ears, and how to access these looks, and will elaborate on the evolution of the bespoke commission for her hearing impaired client, Olesja Grant.
Olesja will describe her experience of becoming unexpectedly hearing impaired five years ago. She will speak openly about her initial resistance to wearing hearing aids and the debilitating effect this had on her mental health, and the revelation when they ultimately transformed her life. She will also explore the day to day challenges faced with hearing impairment- in ways you have never imagined.
She is now on a mission to de-stigmatise hearing loss and hearing aids, and her gold snake ear clip was the first step in this quest.
