British Parliament to vote on Brexit agreement on December 20

British PM Boris Johnson will put the Brexit agreement to a vote in the parliament on December 20. Boris Johnson had earlier toughened his Brexit stance ruling out any extension of an end-of-2020 deadline to strike a trade deal with the European Union. EU leaders had warned about the 'challenging' Brexit timetable for 2020. EU Commission president Ursula von der Leyen said that the Brexit transition deadline of December 2020 left 'very little time' for the British and European sides to reach a trade agreement. Votes in the EU parliament and national parliament have yet to be scheduled.
