The power of daily conscious breathing - it's not that hard Conscious breathing on a daily basis has to be a priority. This single act, that doesn't necessarily need to take a long time, costs nothing to do and doesn't require any special training is the most holistic health practise you can do. Forget what science or anyone tells you about it, just experience it and see what it does for you. Trust yourself and play around with different techniques, there is no one right way of doing anything. It helps me physically by supplying my body with more air, which can give me more power. It helps me emotionally by making me aware of my emotions and what they are telling me, and then reigning them in when I need to. The breathing feeds my brain so I can think more clearly and the breath holding builds me mentally by challenging my resilience. Being conscious of my breathing helps me spiritually by forcing me to be present and focus on the now, which often leads to a state of gratitude, therefore building self-esteem.
