Luffy, who was with Nami, was trapped in Charlotte Mont D'Or's Book World, provoked by Big Mom. However, Luffy insisted on beating the Yonko plus saving Sanji from his marriage to Charlotte Pudding. Meanwhile in the Treasure Room, Brook began an effort to create a 'concert' to get Road Poneglyph from the opponent's hands. In a banquet involving the Vinsmoke family, Big Mom exhibits creatures kept by Charlotte Mont D'Or in her Book World, including rare creatures such as centaurs from Punk Hazard or Manticore. These creatures are forced into books, and eternal life there is in suffering.
These included Luffy and Nami who had just been caught. Big Mom teases Luffy who previously promised to defeat him when he first called on Gyojin Island. Luffy was furious and kept vowing to free Sanji, while Big Mom said he would release the Straw Hats after Sanji and Pudding's wedding.
From this chapter it was also revealed that Lola, the daughter of Big Mom who came out of Whole Cake Island because she was about to be married to a giant, had actually been hated by her own mother. Big Mom is furious at Lola because the princess thwarts her dream of uniting with the giants, building strength to become the Pirate King.
