FT. WRIGHT, Ky. (WKRC) - Ft. Wright Police are putting out a warning after people have been getting scam calls that are disturbing and sound very realistic. In a Facebook post, the police department said an unknown male is calling people stating that they have kidnapped a loved one, such as a daughter, and they demand money for a safe return.
If you get one of these calls, you are encouraged to hang up, check on your family and then call your local police department.
Investigators say this kind of scam is on the rise.
