MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

* Perform technical analysis of manufacturing processes to support management decisions;
* Design / direct the acquisition, design, Assembly engineering, fabrication and repair of all necessary tooling and machines.
* Perform Manufacturing Process Planning activities and support NPI / Current production projects.
* Troubleshoot day-to-day process issues, develops solutions, and monitors improvements;
* Monitor all exchange and in-house requirements;
* Procure material related to manufacturing improvements through external suppliers;
* Perform quality checks on machines;
* Analyse and deploys engineering change notices;
* Establish and maintain bill of materials and work orders;
* Respond to customer issues and lead process improvements; and
* Provide day-to-day coaching duties in absence of team leader

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* University or technical school degree in a Manufacturing Engineering-related degree;
* Thorough knowledge of manufacturing concepts; and manufacturing process planning
* Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.


Desired Qualifications:

Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment; and
* Sound knowledge in Caterpillar manufacturing process and procedures about Engines / Machines business unit
* Prior experience in Virtual Manufacturing engineering, Assembly process planning work types, including line balancing
* Fair knowledge about CAT- Engines, equipment’s and its systems and functions.

Should have hands on experience from Assembly line – Automotive or Industrial products.
* Should have worked on various aspects of process planning including process design, planning and documentation.
* Should have knowledge on Product Design to Product in Assembly Domain.
* Should have experience in creating Standard work/ Visual Aid / Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
* Should have worked on Time Study and Line Balancing and Lean analysis
* Having hands on experience on Caterpillar related process planning tools as CAPP+ and VPP/A will be added advantage.
*Having prior shop floor experience will be added advantage

* Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers
