😮 What every Tile job has to include, no ifs and or buts.🤔 Every tile job needs expansion joints, also known as movement joints, they are critical to the success and longevity of the tile installation. Too many tile installations are done without consideration to how tile will expand and contract with the change of temperature and humidity, and not only the tile surface, but the building itself. If there is no room for movement where tile meets a wall or some other hard object that will not move, then when movement does occur, and it will, something has to give, and it will usually be the tile installation. Tenting or popping of tiles is the end result when the tile floor needs to grow, but has no room for that to happen.
All tile installed by Sal DiBlasi, Elite-tile Company, in the Boston North Shore area. This video contains affiliate links, which means I will receive a small commission if you click on the product link.
