The definition of tooth wear is loss of tooth substance, whether it's on the biting surface, on the side, or around the gum margin. If you have tooth wear, it depends on where the origin of the wear is to what you will be feeling.
You will be feeling sensitivity.
It could be on temperature, it could be when you're biting into something or it could be when you're brushing your teeth, or even when you're breathing in cold air.
What we do about it is dependent upon where it is. You may need to have that substance that is lost, replaced in the surgery.
