Backlash over Mexico's botched attempt to arrest 'El Chapo's' son Mexico's president is defending an order by security forces to release the son of notorious drug cartel leader Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman.
His brief capture led to a deadly battle in the Mexican state of Sinaloa between police and heavily armed cartel members.
The gunfight killed at least seven people and injured 16, while it also led to a prison break. Dozens of inmates remain on the loose.
