Activists: British embrace of Islam is increasing

Activists: British embrace of Islam is increasing The number of British and European converts to Islam continues to grow, despite incitement campaigns against Islam, according to a number of people in charge of Islamic institutions in Britain.
The imam of the Central Mosque in London, Sheikh Shukri Al-Majouli, said that the British and European youths' turn to Islam, whether to convert or to know its truth, is increasing on a daily basis, and that the phenomenon of "Islamophobia" has no negative impact on the rate of conversion.
He pointed out that Islam is the religion of instinct, and that the introduction of people on its nature is widely accepted in Britain, noting that there is a near-daily turnout to the central mosque of young British and European to convert to Islam, and there are those who come to learn about the teachings of Islam.
Al-Majouli added that the mosque provides an opportunity for these young British and Europeans to learn about Islam and help them learn about its teachings.
The Sheikh mentioned that the reasons for their conversion are multiple: some of them know about Islam through books and university, some through their relationship with Muslims in the country, and others have heard about Islam through the media and want to learn the truth.
Islam is the second largest religion in the UK, and Muslims are growing significantly.
More than 2.7 million Muslims live in England and Wales, accounting for 5.0% of the general population and 9.1% of children under five years old. Most are concentrated in London, Manchester and Glasgow, but London is home to 43%.
The majority of Muslims in the kingdom are immigrants or origins of the Indian subcontinent, which includes India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran, then the Middle East and North Africa and then other countries such as Malaysia and Nigeria.
