SPACERS USED IN TRANSMISSION LINE

SPACERS USED IN TRANSMISSION LINE SPACERS USED IN TRANSMISSION LINE
Typically a line spacer is used to separate the multiple conductors of one phase of a three phase line. As an example, one of the three phases may have two, three or more conductors run from transmission tower to transmission tower. The reason for using multiple conductors on one phase are usually due to line power loss concerns and the size wire required to pass the amount of current the line is designed for.
