Dark Souls 3: Funvasion with a Ghost (Raw Clip)

Spawning directly under the entrance of Irithyll Dungeon only to hear the host/summons are still at the bonfire might be someone as they were just entering the level but more often than not it's usually a; bonfire queen, passive co-op group, or dedicated gankers. Most of them are very insistent on fighting in the tiny bonfire room too. Some of them might honestly just be afraid of the hallway with no pve but some of them are clearly trying to capitalize on a lack of friendly hits/stagger in a small area.

Instead of rushing into this fight like usual I opted to see if they were actually camping the bonfire. It seems like they were but they were also each uniquely impatient as well. Seeing the sunbro come out with his shield up I wanted nothing more than to see if I could surprise him with a kick and delete dagger. Although seeing his health bar, even if he had full hp, this was massive overkill. The second sunbro coming to save him was an interesting surprise but he really needed to act sooner ("Hesitation is defeat" - Isshin) and have more vigor investment. The third sunbro really could've used more vigor as well, as evidenced by him/her dying to a single backstab from Ghost's physically infused Man Serpent Hatchet (with no active buff on it). Cornered without extra R1 and spell spam to back him up the host probably wished he/she had invested in vigor too.

Not ONE person on the host's side in this invasion had more than 22 vigor (and that's if you completely disregard the possibility of them using either a Ring of Favor or Life Ring). They all invested in damage stats and attunement instead, without friendly hits having any repercussions they were each able to get through at least half of the game with terribly squishy builds by likely stunlocking everything until it died. For reference, this notably squishy SL 60 build has 25 vigor (30 with Prisoner's Chain), each summon was roughly SL 75 and the host was 85 but each had less vigor than I did.

The next time you see Kevin, tell him to level Vigor.
