A permit which allows holders to park closer to their destination - be that work, the shops or local services. But until now, the disability had to be visible.

That has all just changed in England - meaning people with conditions like autism and chronic fatigue syndrome can also benefit.

Although some worry the assessment process could still make it hard to get a badge.
