Donald Trump confirmed on Sunday that he is considering an attempt to buy Greenland for strategic reasons. His interest in the largely autonomous Danish territory was met with indignation in both Greenland and Denmark, with the Danish prime minister Mette Frederiksen echoing the words of her Greenlandic counterpart Kim Kielsen: 'Greenland will not be sold.'
