Most Significant Change is an alternative tool to examine the programmes and interventions to bring about change in the identified area. This technique is developed to overcome the delimitations of Monitoring and evaluation that is based on pre-defined indicators. Hence, qualitative change processes are captured through this technique. As a part of his Ph.D. Rick Davies developed this tool for a rural programe in Bangaldesh.
