Exoslide linear motion system on the Ender 5

Exoslide linear motion system on the Ender 5 The Ender 5 has a stable cube frame to begin with and can be made even more rigid with linear rails, but doing so can be very expensive and may require 3D printed parts in key places. The Exoslide system aims to increase rigidity and precision whilst retaining the standard 2020 extrusion. Furthermore, this Ender 5 kit comes with laser cut aluminium frame pieces and all mounting hardware, plus all of the design and development work is done for you.

The creator says an Ender 3 / CR-10 kit is in development. I think these printers would benefit even more due to their frame designs.

The modular Exoslide pieces are injection moulded and are of high quality. This system would be an excellent choice for building a custom CNC machine or even 3D printer.

This kit provided free of charge for the purposes of making this guide. All opinions expressed are my own. I apologise that I couldn't provide my usual before and after testing but I'm currently developing a new SKR / MKS friendly electronics case and the printer is in pieces. All I can ay is that this system seems more rigid and will potentially improve print quality, although in my opinion the print quality on this and similar printers is already quite good.
