A very beautiful map and perhaps one of my favorites from TSE. The map combines a lot of my favorite aspects of Serious sam TSE and it honestly just feels like a missing sister of the original TSE campaign. I actually wouldn't mind if this level actually was a level in the actual campaign since it fits really organic and nicely. I hope that there will be a SSHD version of this level! It would be pretty nice imo.
The enemies aren't specifically challenging on the level as a whole, and it feels like you are given more then enough wiggle room with all the ammo and weapons across the level. However, it seems like healthwise, everything is pretty well balanced!
The architecture is stunning as usual for its time. There are a LOT of very interesting parts of the level which are very original and different compared to anything else I've yet seen so far. Every part of the level feels like a completely new area! and the interactions are absolutely great!!!
Otmosis is an easy sell for anyone who is ever interested in fanmade maps for the game! It is no doubt a shining example of the best TSE maps out there.
Level 1 brings you through a really beautiful palenque inspired forest which gives you perfect and immersive vibes. The level is designed detailed but sparingly and is optimized for any kind of system able to run Serious Sam! The level has a bit of everything you'd expect from a forest themed level in serious sam. Plentiful battles. unique areas. nice puzzles. mindless wepbuzzing. and most of all, very nicely designed battles and arenas.
There's not a lot I can critisize the level for! Personally I would've preferred if the level was slightly shorter. :D. That's really the only thing I can say for now. There is one really tiny part of the level which gives a slight ~10fps drop, but it might've just been my antivirus!
Authors notes: My computer got the Delta airlines treatment and got smashed to bits :D. My next computer is on the way and will ~5x times stronger than my last laptop. Hopefully.
