As per the instructions and guidance by the Director General of Police, Telangana to improve quality of investigation for securing convictions, Rachakonda Commissioner Sri Mahesh M Bhagwat has strengthened, developed an effective system of monitoring, brain storming sessions and conducting classes by the Court duty officers to all stakeholders in all Police Stations to get more convictions with the collaboration of public prosecutors. During the months of April and May-2019 total (94) accused persons were convicted in (54) cases, among them convictions were secured for life imprisonment in (1) case. Similarly, convictions were also secured in other cases i.e., 5 years RI in 1 case, 3 years RI in 3 cases, 1 year RI in 2 cases, below 1 year in 6 cases and fine in 41 cases.
1) ACCUSED GOT LIFE IMPRISONMENT CONVICTION FOR KILLING HIS WIFE.
Cr.No.371/2014 U/s 302 IPC of P.S Balapur, Rachakonda Commissionerate: The facts of the case are that, the accused Gulam Mustafa, aged 36 yrs, working as Imam in Nimra Masjid r/o Aline Colony, Shaheen Nagar, Balapur N/O Bosgam village, Bidar district married one Rukhia Begum, 28 yrs in the year 2008. Out of their wedlock, they were blessed with three children out of them one daughter died while two children are staying with them. The accused often used to harass his wife. On 14-09-2014, he demanded her to massage his feet. But she refused as she was not well. On that, the accused became wild, poured kerosene on her body and set fire due to which she was sustained severe burn injuries, While undergoing treatment, she died in OGH Hyderabad on 16-09-2014.
During trial Hon’ble II ADJ Court at LB Nagar convicted the accused Gulam Mustafa, aged 36 yrs to undergo Life Imprisonment and imposed fine of Rs.2000/-.
2) FATHER GOT 5 YEARS IMPRISONMENT CONVICTION IN A CASE OF MURDER ATTEMPT ON HIS OWN SON.
Cr.No.61/2018 U/s 307 IPC of PS Pahadisharif, Rachakonda Commissionerate: The facts of the case are that, the accused Mohammad Qayyum Qureshi, 42 yrs r/o Wadi-e-Mustafa, Jalpally village, Balapur Mandal is the father of victim/injured Mohammad Khaled Qureshi 18 yrs. Due to some family issues, on 05-03-2018 at about 1500 hrs, while the victim/injured was sleeping alone in his house, the accused who is his father went to him and chapped his right hand wrist with butcher knife, due to which the injured has to under go amputation of his right hand.
During trial the Hon’ble II ASJ at LB Nagar convicted the accused Mohammad Qayyum Qureshi to undergo Imprisonment for 5 years and fined Rs.1000/-.
3) FATHER GOT 3 YEARS IMPRISONMENT CONVICTION FOR MOLESTING HIS MINOR DAUGHTER.
Cr.No.767/2016 U/s 354 IPC & Sec.12 of POCSO Act of PS Meerpet, Rachakonda Commissionerate: The facts of the case are that, the accused Kembasaram Mahender @ Mahesh, 38 yrs, r/o Jillelaguda, Balapur Mandal, RR District was an alcoholic addict. He used to often quarrel with his wife and he necked out his wife from the house.They have a progeny of two children i.e., one daughter who is a victim and minor girl of 15 years old and one son who is 13 years old. On 20-10-2016 at about 0200 hrs, the accused came home in drunken condition, abused his wife, children and dragged his daughter by holding her hand with intent to outrage her modesty. Unable to bear the slur on the same day at about 2000 hrs, the victim swallowed sleeping pills. She was shifted to OGH Hyderabad for treatmen
During trial the Hon’ble MSJ Court at LB Nagar convicted the accused Kembasaram Mahender @ Mahesh to undergo 3 years Rigorous Improvement.
4) 3 YEARS CONVICTION TO ACCUSED IN CHEATING AND FORGERY CASE
Cr. No. 19/2015 U/S 468,471 & 420 IPC of Yacharam PS Rachakonda
Commissionerate : The facts of the case are that, the Accused A1) Chettupally Srinivas (33) R/o Mondi Gowrelly(v) Yacharam (M), A2) Gadari Srinivas (27) occ: temporary clerck in MRO office,Ycharam R/o Chowdari pally (v) Yacharam (M), A3) Bugganamoni Srinivas(48) VRO (under suspension) R/o Ibrahim patnam have colluded each other and forged the pattedar passbook and Pahani of A1 and made entries of 4 Acrs land instead of 1 Acr land to obtain huge loan amounts from the Bank and approached the MRO Yacharam Smt.Vasantha Kumari for attestation on documents , on verification MRO Yacharam it is clearly knowing that false entries made in the records, as such MRO Yacharam lodged complaint in Yacharam PS.
During the trail, the Hon’ble XXVI MM at.Ibrahimpatan, convicted the accused A2) G.Srinivas s/o Buchaiah age 24 yrs occ.pvt employee in Mro office,R/o chowdaripally, A3) B.Srinivas s/o Pentaih age 45 years OCC.VRO Ibrahimpatnam, to under go 3 years Imprisonment and fined Rs.2000/- each and splitup charge sheet was
