A day after Iran announced it would no longer abide by any part of the 2015 nuclear deal it reached with world powers, U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted Monday that Iran will NEVER have a nuclear weapon.
He did not elaborate on how he was considering stopping Iran from reviving its nuclear program.
The Trump administration has used a so-called "maximum pressure" strategy of sanctions on Iran to try to bring the Iranians to the negotiating table.
White House adviser Kellyanne Conway said on Monday that President Trump is confident he could still renegotiate a much stricter nuclear deal with Tehran.
She added Trump is "open" for talks if Iran starts behaving like a "normal country".
