. Hi everyone. I'm Paul Cooper and I'm the manager of Totes Of Notes. And now I'm your host on the Take Note Podcast. I'm super excited to finally be launching this podcast. I know the initial intro there was a little serious, but this'll be a much lighter note, usually. And I just wanted to reach out to you on this first podcast to let you know what the podcast is about, who I am, and what all we're going to do. All right, so this is the Take Note Podcast and we're going to cover Note Investing, Real Estate, and Finance. We're going to cover those main three areas, so some weeks and some episodes may cover personal finance, business finance, tax advice, IRAs, things like that, and other traditional investments. Other weeks we're going to cover a lot of note investing since that's mainly what I focus on. And then we're also going to cover a ton of different real estate, real estate investing, and real estate investors.
We're going to be looking at different markets that people might be in. So if you are interested in certain markets, don't hesitate to reach out and let us know. Again, I'm Paul Cooper, I'm the manager of Totes Of Notes. I have roughly 10 years of real estate experience. Got started back in college, doing tax liens for a while and then eventually transitioned to notes the past few years and then roughly two years ago we started the business, Totes Of Notes and that's what we do. We do note investing on mainly residential but also commercial, almost always first position. And then on top of that, I'm a huge just lifetime financial nerd. I like looking at stuff in Excel, breaking things down looking at the numbers. To me if math can be applied to the world around me or if it can actually be directly applied to money, then it always kind of made sense and stayed interesting.
But if you wanted me to get into other advanced mathematics then I couldn't care less. And let you know how much of a nerd I am. When I was 16, I worked at this grocery store chain called Hy-Vee in the Kansas city area and I worked there pretty much full time all summer and I saved a bunch of money and I ended up opening up and maxing out my Roth IRA that year, when I was 16. And then for the following few years I maxed it out every year. And then when I was in college, kinda had to sit on the back burner a little bit and just invested with it. But yeah, not too many 16 year olds are opening up Roth IRAs and investing. So that lets you know how much of a nerd I really am. So again, what's the podcast about? Note investing. Real estate.
We're going to cover a lot of market specific knowledge, whether it's your state or your city. We may even do a little bit of international just depending if I can get some good speakers on it because I really know very little about international investing. So I would definitely want to bring some specialists in for that. That way you are actually getting good information as opposed to just my educated guesses. And then business and personal finance will probably have some individuals on here that could help you out with your personal finances as well as business finance. How to get rid of debt, how to use debt intelligently to grow your investments. And some other really interesting concepts. But at the end of the day we're here to help you. We're just documenting our journey and what we do and hopefully it'll help you. And that's where we kind of need you guys to get involved because we can't help you if you're not letting us know exactly what you want to see and we'll have more information on how you can get involved later.
But I really want to provide you with as much specific industry knowledge from professionals that we can. And on top of that, we're tentatively planning on releasing podcasts, hopefully weekly every Tuesday. We may start off just doing it twice a month as we're figuring things out. But the plans are to do it Tuesday. We're going to try to start doing it live on Tuesday since that's what works with my schedule. So we'll probably do that in the evening. Roughly six to 7:00 PM mountain time is probably when we'll start and then we'll try to wrap up by eight or nine at the absolute latest. I've gotta imagine most episodes are probably only going to be about 15 to 30 minutes long.
