Some days you are in phase with the elements. This day may be one of my best when out paddling. After a disastrous first day of my trip, I didn't expect to be out today, with a wind forecast of force 6-7 (25-30 knots). But I found a good route, let myself be blown downwind for the first stretch, then found shelter on a small lake, and walked the boat through a pass out to sea. After that there was protection under the cliffs. The day ended perfectly: a dry shelter, spectacular views, a campfire, whisky and good food! My boat:
