Anxiety for children is an enormously complex emotion as it is often hard to articulate and more often than not, can result in what adults may refer to as 'Bad Behaviour.' However this behaviour is generally the child trying to find ways to be heard when words are near impossible to find.
The solution is often a very personal one and differs greatly every child, however it all begins with taking the time to ask and listen. I don't suggest this poem will fix anything but perhaps it may give the child permission to acknowledge moments when they feel anxious and the empowerment to share how they feel. Or at least have their voice heard.
Hope it helps.
