Today's recipe is for one of the most delicious warm drinks ever! This is a holiday punch recipe that's made every year in my household around the holiday times. It has tons of fruit and spices which makes it the most warm and comforting drink ever! Some of the spiciness comes from the ginger and warm all spice flavor. It has a very tropical taste with the pineapple and also has tons of dried raisins.
Ingredients:
1 Ripe Pineapple
4 Green Apples
2 inch piece fresh Ginger peeled
1/4 cup raisins
1/2 cup prunes
2 cinnamon sticks
6 whole All-spice berries
3/4 cup sugar
8 cups Water
Directions:
Start off by washing and scrubbing the pineapple and cutting off all the skin.
Place the skin in a large pot with the 8 cups of water and simmer this skin while you peel and chop the rest of the fruit. peel and chop the apples and chop the rest of the pineapple. place it into the pot along with the remaining ingredients. Simmer this for about 10 minutes then remove the skin of the pineapple.
Continue to boil this punch for one hour until it is a deep brown color.
