US sanctions 'carpet bombed Venezuela's economy': opposition advisor & economist Francisco Rodríguez

Red Lines - Anya Parampil sat down with Venezuelan economist Francisco Rodríguez to discuss the current state of Venezuela's economy, the true character of the country's opposition – which isn't purely represented by Juan Guaidó and his party – as well as the future of Citgo Petroleum, Venezuela's most valuable international asset.

A a former advisor to presidential candidate Henri Falcón, who ran against current President Nicolás Maduro in 2018, Rodríguez explains what Venezuela's political opposition would look like without relentless US interference. He also details his latest project, the Oil for Venezuela Foundation, which he says seeks a humanitarian solution to the humanitarian crisis in the country.
