Our favourite pictures of 2019 in the delivery of Sydney Metro, Australia’s biggest public transport project. Services started on 26 May 2019 on the Metro North West Line, Australia’s first driverless metro.
Construction also continued to deliver the extension of the line from the north west, under Sydney Harbour and through new city stations.
In 2024, Sydney will have 31 metro stations and a 66km metro railway line.
