People gathered in different parts of Asia on Boxing Day to watch the annular solar eclipse, also known as a 'ring of fire'. The annular eclipse started from Dammam in Saudi Arabia and travelled across the Indian Ocean towards southern India and over the northern part of Sri Lanka and ended above the Pacific Ocean.
