Princess Charlotte's Christmas request which suggests she's just like the Queen

Princess Charlotte's Christmas request which suggests she's just like the Queen Princess Charlotte wants a pony for Christmas and is "obsessed with horses" just like her great grandmother the Queen, according to reports.   But her dad Prince William , 37, is said to be reluctant to let the four-year-old have one because he thinks she is "too young".  A source told Closer magazine: "Charlotte takes after Queen Elizabeth and is obsessed with horses.  "She's asked for a pony, but might have to wait until next year because William thinks she's too young."  It is also claimed Charlotte's older brother George, 6, is keen to get a new tennis racket and football table for Christmas after developing a passion for sports.  "George is really into tennis and has asked for a new racket and a football table," the source said.  The source added "they'll both be receiving children's cookery sets because they love making a mess in the kitchen".  The Queen begin riding aged six after being given a Shetland pony called Peggy at the age of four by her dad George VI  Nowadays she has a passion for the races and has won £7,768,448 in winnings from her horses over the past 31 years.  Her Majesty has won 534 of the 3,205 races her horses have taken part in.  The Queen is often seen riding her horses on the Balmoral estate but has never liked wearing a helmet.  She once told her racing trainer Ian Balding: “You don’t have to have your hair done like I do.”  The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have previously said they want to give their children a normal upbringing and keep them away from the spotlight.  The Queen rode through the grounds of Windsor Castle on Remembrance Day, with her head groom Terry Pendry accompanying her.
