Lucky Plaza car crash: Mount Elizabeth Hospital not equipped to handle severe trauma patients

Lucky Plaza car crash: Mount Elizabeth Hospital not equipped to handle severe trauma patients The Ministry of Health (MOH) has responded to concerns over why Mount Elizabeth Hospital was not activated after the Lucky Plaza crash, despite being next door. MOH said most private hospitals are not equipped for emergency resuscitation and treatment of severe and multiple trauma -- that's why they are not designated as receiving hospitals for emergencies. The ministry also added that it is happy to work with private hospitals, should they wish to upgrade their capabilities.
