#TelanganaHC on Friday gave a green signal for a second autopsy on the bodies of the four accused, who were gunned down in a police encounter at Chatanpally, and handing over their bodies to the families after #postmortem in the #Disha case. It said the fresh autopsy should be done by medical and forensic experts from Delhi.It also directed the superintendent of Gandhi Hospital to be present in the court on Saturday to ascertain the condition of the four bodies. A bench of Chief Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan and Justice A Abhishek Reddy was hearing a PIL by social activist K Sajaya and others whose pleas were forwarded to the high court by the SC to take a call on the bodies which had been preserved since the encounter on December 6. Arguing against a fresh autopsy, advocate general BS Prasad said a post-mortem had already been conducted by forensic experts of Telangana whose expertise, he claimed, was on par with national standards. The bench, however, told him that Disha incident and the subsequent encounter had attracted the attention of the nation and that it would be better to convey a message to the outside world that systems in Telangana were in perfect shape. “Let there be a second autopsy and let it be videographed,” the bench said.
