Corrie fans wonder if this is finally the end of Gary Windass

Corrie fans wonder if this is finally the end of Gary Windass The dark truth about Gary Windass was confessed to a stunned Maria Connor on tonight's Coronation Street.  After police investigated a reason to believe that he’s been operating as a loan shark, and fingers were pointed in the Rovers Return, the whole sorry story clicked into place for Maria.  After defending her man in the pub, Maria's world was rocked when he told her that the police were right.  He explained that he had been working for nasty Rick Neelan, a loan shark who terrorised him and his Weatherfield neighbours for years.  "I started doing jobs for Rick to pay back what I owed him," he told Maria, who is pregnant with his baby.  His girlfriend then worked out the extent of his unscrupulous behaviour, which led to the collapse of the Underworld factory that killed Rana Habeeb.  He also brought about the death of his both Derek Milligan and Robert Preston on Christmas Day after his client Derek chased Gary with a loaded rifle and left Shona Ramsey lying in a coma from a gunshot wound.  The only thing Maria still doesn't know is that Gary killed Rick and buried him in the woods.  "You know you didn't just cause Christmas Day, you caused the factory roof an all," she challenged.  "Because you owed Rick so much money you sabotaged that roof.  If it wasn't for you Rana would still be alive."  But Gary insisted that he's going to change and pleaded with Maria to stick by him.  "This is a chance for us to be a proper family and that's all I've ever wanted. I'd do anything for you and the baby" he said.  "Well I'm not sure I want my baby to have a father who's been where you have," she raged.  "The end is NIGHHHHHHHHHHH..." cheered one viewer.  Another fan wondered if a new villain is being prepared to take his place, in the shape of new bistro boss Ray.  "I get the feeling that Ray Connor will end up becoming the new central antagonist of Coronation Street, regardless of whether Gary Windass' reign of villainy will end OR not," they said.  "Izzy has evidence, lock Gary up!!" shouted another.  Events fell into place for others on the street when his ex Izzy Armstrong met Derek's ex wife Julia, who told Izzy that Derek was up to his eyes in debt to a loan shark.   On New Year's Eve, rows and repercussions will continue on the ITV soap following the shocking discoveries about Gary.  In May the former soldier and builder was revealed as Coronation Street’s latest villain after months of speculation.  He turned to the dark side after owing Rick money and encouraging Underworld boss Carla Connor to spend £60,000 on the factory roof after a botched job by his late nemesis, Pat Phelan.  But Carla refused in order to save cash and because it would mean the closure of the factory for months, so Gary took the matter into his own hands and sabotaged the roof.  "Gary couldn’t get any work, then there was Carla sitting on the fact that the factory roof needed fixing," actor Mikey North explained earlier this year.  "It wasn’t going to fall down any
