Defense Industry President Ismail Demir announced the first resignation with an upgraded ATAK on his official Twitter account.
"ATAK Phase 2, equipped with a laser diversion system and an electronic warfare enhancement system, successfully carried out its inaugural flight," he said. Demir also updated a new, more powerful and updated ATAK helicopter to be sent to the Turkish military in the second round of next year.
The ATAK Phase-2 configuration includes additional Electronic Warfare systems such as laser warning receivers, radio frequency jammers, radar warning systems and Radio 9681 V / UHF.
The TAI manufacturer, a project contractor carried out by the Defense Industry Presidency (SSB), has launched 53 ATAK T129 helicopters for the Turkish military. Initially, the plan was to send 21 ATAK helicopters that had been re-approved.
