The Pentagon in the United States has released the first images of the raid in which it says The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL or ISIS) group’s leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was killed on Saturday. Al-Baghdadi blew himself up after US commandos tracked him down at a compound where he was hiding in Syria's Idlib province.
But al-Baghdadi's death might not mean the end of ISIL's ideology, warn analysts.
Al Jazeera's Alan Fisher reports from Washington, DC.
