The Sweet Brothers were from Vero Beach, Florida. They released a single on Rae Cox, five on Song Bird, and a split LP with the Cotton Brothers on Song Bird. They toured the gospel circuit and performed with many popular groups such as the Supreme Angels, the Blind Boys, the Jackson Southernaires, and the Gospel Keynotes. This track is on one of their Song Bird singles. I'll be sharing mixes from my collection on my new Mixcloud channel. My love of gospel developed out of a broader interest in soul music. I am always interested in hearing from members of groups and their families, as well as anyone who can help tell the story of these groups. I've recently decided to incorporate as much biographical information as I can track down about the groups whose records I post, and I'm going back through former posts as time permits to add as much information as possible. Names and biographies of group members, other groups that they played in, dates of releases, home cities of groups, information about labels - really anything is useful. The men and women who gave glory with this great music deserve to be remembered better.
