How the First Image of a Black Hole Was Captured

How the First Image of a Black Hole Was Captured On Wednesday, April 10, 2019 the world was treated to the first-ever image of a black hole, a seemingly impossible feat. Because of the extreme nature of black holes, it seemed up to now that such a picture would never come to be. How did a group of researchers pull this off?
They did so using something called the Event Horizon Telescope or EHT for short, a global network of synchronized radio telescopes made up of observatories from around the world. But creating the EHT and getting the data from it was just the beginning of this long journey. The rest was just as complicated and exciting. Watch this video to learn all about how the first image of a black hole was finally captured.
