One of the hardest parts of having something new or different done to your face is going to school and seeing how people react! I think there was a time when getting glasses or braces for the first time could be scary because people might tease you or make fun your new look or the way you talk. But thankfully, I feel like the younger generation is coming up much more inclusive and far kinder. I think what was once something to be embarrassed is not something to be proud of. Things kids used to be teased about are now things thought of as cool.
Super grateful for that as we have one kid with glasses and two kids with braces! So far, the reaction from their peers has been nothing but supportive!
Mom also got the organization bug today and tore apart our junk closet uncovering all kinds of hidden treasures! Now everything has a home and a purpose, making it much easier to find what we need when we need it! And alleviates Mom's headache just a little bit ;)
