E-scooters to be banned from footpaths starting Nov 5

E-scooters will be banned from all footpaths starting Nov 5. Those caught riding
on footpaths will be issued warning letters till end-2020. From Jan 1, 2020,
offenders will face a fine of up to $2,000, and/or be jailed up to three months. It is the
latest restriction on personal mobility devices, after accidents continued to rise in 2019.
