For Masuda Method, you want to breed two Pokemon of opposite genders together, while making sure that they are from different regions. By regions, I mean different locations/languages, like one Pokemon being bred being English, and the other Pokemon being Japanese.
Pokemon can commonly be bred with foreign Ditto (can be found in Max Raid Battles & in the Lake of Outrage in the Wild Area, levels 55-57). I also tell you guys about egg groups and how they work, and how you do not have to breed with Ditto to have a good chance to get Shiny Pokemon and use the Masuda Method in Pokemon Sword and Shield. By doing Masuda Method, I was able to acquire a Shiny Grookey, and you can also get other Shiny Starters in Sword and Shield such as Shiny Sobble and Shiny Scorbunny.
