Minister of Works and Transport, Rohan Sinanan, says the Toco port will be the number one choice of citizens to get to Tobago, once the Toco Port and the Toco/Sangre Grande Highway are complete. Minister Sinanan was speaking during Tuesday’s Budget debate in the House of Representatives.
On the issue of traffic, he said plans are afoot to construct two additional overpasses to complement the Curepe Interchange Project
As it pertains to flooding, the Minister said the Ministry is seeking technical assistance from CAF Development Bank of Latin America to deal with the ongoing flooding in rural and urban areas. He said CAF has also agreed to short, medium and long term loans.
