We are a group of students studying the subject, Global Perspectives, in our O Levels curriculum. A part of this subject requires the students to work on a team project, focusing on the issues in their localities. Our group, is working on the topic “Mental Health Awareness”. We realized that there is a severe lack of proper awareness regarding this issue in Pakistan. Not only that but there a stigma surrounding this issue in the mind of the average Pakistani be it simply due to lack of awareness, mistrust of professionals or religious reasons.
