Played live in Frankfurt, Germany, on June 30th, 1980. This is an ode to one of the band's last great belters, which only saw time in live setlists in 1979 and 1980. With the Knebworth version of In the Evening being very prominent, I wanted to create a definitive 1980 version of it.
For this version of the song, I dug into my vaults to a 1980 project that I haven't made progress on since December. I'd like to pick that up and put together a 1980 best-of live album, but with school starting again, that is no guarantee for the foreseeable future. It's always been something I've wanted to do, though. Take this as a snippet of what it might sound like.
