Singapore needs to guard against offensive speech becoming mainstream: Shanmugam Home Affairs and Law Minister K Shanmugam has highlighted the need for Singapore to guard against offensive speech on racial lines becoming mainstream. He cited examples of how such speech has led to unrest in countries such as the UK, US and Germany. He was addressing about 100 students and staff at NUS.
