Singapore must keep its identity, independence, interests foremost: Ng Eng Hen

Speaking to members of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry at a National Day dinner, Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen said Singapore must keep its identity, independence, and own interests foremost, and avoid taking sides even as big powers tussle in the region. He noted that as a small country, Singapore should not overestimate its ability to influence global affairs.
