How To Distress Paint - Sanding A Door For Shabby Chic Decor

How To Distress Paint - Sanding A Door For Shabby Chic Decor 🎸 Today's DIY Home Improvement Task: showing you a bedroom door I distressed to make it look realistically aged and worn. Just needed a bit of well-placed sanding and a good washing. You can add more depth and dimension if you'd like by adding a little stain in the crevices. I plan to finish this look by adding an antique black door handle.

🎸 Tools Used:

Skil 490 Sander (no longer made, but this would be the closest new model):

Sanding discs with assorted grits (I used three sheets of 100 grit for this project):

Murphy Oil Soap:

Well-used, dry paint brush for removing dust
