Watch what Jesus did to insure he lived by priorities rather than by pressures:
Mark 1:35 (NIV2011)
35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
One of the best ways to live by priorities rather than pressures is to:
Do best things first thing
Your morning routine is the best way to insure your priorities are protected from pressures First-thing in the morning, do what’s best
It’s much easier to control when your day will BEGIN than when it will END
- In the course of a day, there are ample opportunities for urgent matters to demand your attention.
- The best way to safeguard the most important things in your life is to do them before your “day” gets started.
- For some, that might mean waking up 30 minutes earlier
o Quiet time with the Lord
o Family time – breakfast
- If waking up 30 min. earlier guarantees that your priorities are not squeezed out by pressures, that will be the best 30 minutes of your day.
