Old bi-plane and PA-18 "Fpl 51A, no.51262" Super Cub

The old planes has been brought out this time.

My brother flying the nice big and very old bi-plane powered by a gas-converted OS FS 40. Some mods to the carburetor is still to be done, but it is reliable enough to fly with. It glides extremely well when he attempts land it.
It just wants to fly... :-)

The Cub has not been flown in a number of years, but after reprogramming of the radio it flies very well.
It is a very old scratch-build, accurate scale model of the PA-18A-150 Super Cub C/n 18-6445 with Swedish Army serial 51262.
In the army they went under the designation Flygplan 51A, shorted to Fpl 51A. They were mainly used for training and reconnaissance. There were also a later B-variant with only minor differences. The real aircraft was scrapped after a crash in 29 oct 1975, then with civil reg SE-CEO.

This aircraft is powered by a small .25 2-stroke glow engine with a custom silencer to make it fit in the cowling. It is possibly built in the late 70s. It flies fantastic!
